I've become fairly adept at changing the homepage because I like having an interesting picture and colors that I like in front of me. I've lost my favorite Chrome startup theme but have plans for getting it back just as soon as things are a little less busy around here.
Thank you for pointing the way to getting Google instead of Bing while using Edge, flatcap. I just can't get used to Bing very well.

I hope all of you are all decorated for Christmas. I am not doing one thing.
I went out Monday to the grocery store. I only got about half or less than what I normally get. I took my cart out of the trunk of the car and one wheel was off and the bag was off the frame, so I put those on. When I got home I was able to put all my groceries in the cart and I pulled it to the bottom of my outside stairs. I had made one trip from the car inside to bring my medications I had picked up and also some food for that night. Then I went back and got the cart and groceries. After getting the groceries to the bottom of the stairs I made 3 trips inside to get the groceries in and then brought the cart up on my porch. It is still sitting on the porch and I hope it doesn't get stolen.
This process, while not good, was better than going back and forth to the car and loading myself down each time. Also getting less helped. I will start trying to order the heavy things from Instacart, and sticking to this process for me. The next time my brother is here I will ask him to put the wheel on the cart tighter so I will not have to keep fiddling with it.
For any of you that might take Multiple Sclerosis News Today, there is an article in it which might point the way to getting help with some of your needs if you qualify. It came out in today's copy. If anyone is not familiar with this almost daily periodical I would give a link to it, but it comes in my email and I don't have a way of getting it to this site.
It is pretty cool here tonight and I turned the gas logs on. I was planning to start a book but I guess I will not since it is getting late. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to get around to reading a little.
Sometime back Ikoiko told me about some coffee that comes in individual packets. I have been drinking one mug per day of it since then. It is dark roast and I would like to have some medium or light roast, so if anyone comes across any I would love to know about it.Virginia

Virginia, just getting provisions can be a struggle, no doubt about it. I'm glad you're working on some alternatives to make the process easier. I've found that if a job looks too big, it can usually be broken down into steps or phases and done in a start-stop-start-stop way, even if it has to be stretched out over days.
I'm trying to shorten a couple of PJ pants for the grandson but it's just too much close eye work for me to do in one day. I'm doing what I can each day. Today I basted one pair and finished the sewing on one leg. So the job is one-fourth done, approximately.
I looked up Multiple Sclerosis News Today and would be happy to post a link to the article you mentioned but I'm not sure which article you mean. Today's issue features an article on holidays and guilt by Ben Hofmeister--is that the one?
I got the COVID vaccine on Tuesday and had only a sore arm for a day or two. I was afraid that the nystagmus episode would be repeated, either because of the shot or because of the riding around, but that didn't happen, and I'm really really happy about that.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Agate, I think that is the right copy of MS News Today. It is under something like Newly Diagnosed. If you read far enough down it list some places to help with the drugs and then some other places to help with other things.
The reason I can't "copy and paste" is because I am having to correspond with this board on my tablet and I can't do it on here. For some unknown reason my computer will not let me reply to this board. I can read only.

flatcap, I had tried that and it comes up with Scan QR code.
It is "Newly Diagnosed with MS: What's Next"
While I don't think we have any newly diagnosed, I still felt that there was some information about getting help that some of us might want to read up on.Last edited by Virginia; 12-08-2023, 01:09 PM.Virginia

Looks like something worth adding to the Useful Websites thread, do you think?SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Agate, given Virginia's hint, I found the same link that you did. I appreciate having what is to me a new resource.
I might be wrong, but I think she was more specifcally referring to this article: Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...
It is listed on the page you pointed to, but it probably bears highlighting.Last edited by flatcap; 12-08-2023, 04:01 PM.

I had an interesting experience today.
On my way to get an early dinner, traffic suddenly came to a halt, and whenever that happens, I look in the mirror to see if I am going to get hit from behind. It's a reflex. Thankfully, the car behind me came to a stop.
Next, still looking in the mirror, I see and hear the car behind me get hit. I see the driver look in her mirror in surprise and at least mild shock.
Traffic is still at a stop, so then I see the driver get out of her car and walk toward the car that hit her. Then, that driver gets out of her car, and instead of yelling and shouting, they hug each other.
Wow.
I have never seen anything like that happen in traffic, much less at an accident. I believe there's a lesson in there somewhere, particularly for the season.

Agate, yes that is it Mostly the part I was referring to is way down toward the end of the article where it says "finances and insurance".
Flatcap, what an interesting thing that you happened to witness. Do you think they could be friends? No one around here does that. I think they would be afraid to walk up to another car that had just hit them. I assume it was not a hard hit.Virginia
