Sunshine's Keep On Moving thread - May 2024

Here is the message Sunshine posted regularly when starting this monthly thread:

MS creates some real challenges to keep on moving. It helps to inspire each other on how to find ways to move.

Did you stretch in your bed, swing your arms, roll side to side today? Or perhaps you did housework? Or exercised in a pool? Tracked your count of steps? Chased your cat around the home? Pushed the wheelchair wheels with your arms at the store? Post them here and we can support and egg each other on.

REMEMBER: this is a keep on moving thread, not keep on exercising! Any moving is important it doesn't have to be exercise! Even Science proves that.
So have people been moving around?

I'll try to post my April stepcount average soon. A neighbor actually took an interest in the way I walk around the hall at night. Others are doing likewise.

I have had to stay away from doing them very much since having the long lasting spell of vertigo and then being so out of balance for so long afterward. But now I am trying to get back into them. I can tell a difference when I don't keep them up.

Yes, vertigo doesn't allow exercise. I recall my bouts of vertigo, when just about any movement was impossible.

OK, here it is at last. The suspense is over and it's time to reveal my average step count for April:

            1,857 steps/day based on 28 days

That's about 100 fewer steps than in March but still better than many months in 2023.
