Does anyone besides me have weird brainless moments when you suddenly can't do something you've done for decades?
Some instances of this that I have had:
1 - Failure to remember my own phone number. This happens when I'm asked it. Suddenly I realize I don't know it. This happened a couple of times, and so I wrote it on a tag attached to my wheelchair. Now to remember that I have it on that tag....
2 - Failure to remember how to write a check. This has happened twice now. I have to look at one of my old checks to remember how to make it out. I've written checks the same way all my adult life.
3 - Trying to draw a star for my grandson, the kind of star that you can draw all at once without lifting your pencil off the page--the kind I learned how to do when I was a child and have always known how to do, I found that I no longer knew how to do it. This was even though 10 minutes before that, I had had no problem with it, and half an hour later when I tried again, there was no problem.
Is this an age thing? Or an MS thing? Or something else?
