This is truly sad news for us here on Braintalk.

Bumping this up. Very very sad news. I think he kept this place going though there was nothing in it for him, and it was a worthwhile effort. We owe him our heartfelt gratitude for putting up with all of our concerns over the years. It takes a lot of patience and ingenuity to run an online community like this one, but thanks to people like him, BrainTalk has weathered many storms and still survived.

You said it very well Agate. He did so much to keep us going, though he had his own problems. He recognized a need and took action to fill that need. You are right this forum owes him a debt of gratitude. He had to have been a good person to do as much for us as he did.

Thank you for the tribute, Chris. I wish more people would come out of the woodwork. There were many, many people here using this space that was provided for us at no cost to us, a way of expressing ourselves and finding people to communicate with at times in our lives when our resources were probably dwindling. Those who made this space possible had to put forth quite a bit of effort to keep it working--and to keep all of us from getting too obnoxious.

Very sad! According to his Profile here, he was only 58. I believe that the Profile information updates automatically, and so that may be correct. Or it may not.
