    Physical performance - cognition and functional capacity in patients with MS

    Good physical performance is associated with better cognition in people with relapsing-remitting MS, according to a recent study by the University of Eastern Finland. Good functional capacity was also clearly related to cognition and physical performance.     Thanks Tim, I am secondary progressive MS. Still, there is no doubt that exercise helps me mentally and physically.

      Thank you for finding this, Tim. It looks as if we absolutely have to keep those muscles moving.

      I'm another who has moved on (graduated?) from relapsing-remitting MS to secondary progressive. We don't get nearly as much attention in the scientific studies.
      SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.
