    Among adults with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) followed over 3 years, those with memory decline exhibited a larger drop in whole-brain volume compared to those with stable memory, suggest the findings from a recent study.

    Over the years during which I've had MRIs (about 1986 to about 2011), I've noticed that for the more recent ones, attention is being paid to brain volume--whether the brain is shrinking and by how much. In the earlier MRIs that wasn't ever mentioned. Maybe at the time it wasn't measurable. I have an impression that there have been considerable advances in MRI technology over the years.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.
