Keep On Moving thread - October

Here is Sunshine 2's introductory post that she always used when starting this thread (Sunshine 2 was BBS1951 at an earlier time in case there are people reading here who go back that far):

MS creates some real challenges to keep on moving. It helps to inspire each other on how to find ways to move.

Did you stretch in your bed, swing your arms, roll side to side today? Or perhaps you did housework? Or exercised in a pool? Tracked your count of steps? Chased your cat around the home? Pushed the wheelchair wheels with your arms at the store? Post them here and we can support and egg each other on.

REMEMBER: This a keep on moving thread, not keep on exercising! Any moving is important it doesn't have to be exercise! Even Science proves that.
I hope everyone has been trying to exercise. I'm still doing my routines but the September average step count will have to come along later. Stay tuned!

      That's really good news, Virginia!

I feel really proud of myself on days when I do the exercise routines even though they're the very last thing I want to do. Some days it seems as if I can't move one more muscle by the time I get to the exercises towards the end of the day but when I manage to do them anyway, I feel ready for a treat as a reward.

Now, at last, the record the whole world has been waiting for--my average step count for September:

1,744 steps (based on 29 days)

Not so good as August (2,022) but much better than any other month since October 2024 (1,783). Fall must be a high-energy time for me. The returning cooler weather may be invigorating?

I ran across this article with several knee exercises in it. I've been having pain in one knee at night especially and hope that the exercises will help.

This is good article. Thanks for posting. I am doing four of them, though one is a bit modified. My squats are not low squats now because I was afraid of damaging my knees. I have a problem knowing where my different body parts are when I am in open space - not so much in the house. I am glad I have continued the exercises.

I know what you mean about not knowing where body parts are! I have to look sometimes to see where a foot is, and it's often a big surprise. Sometimes I find one foot bent inward from the ankle. I had no idea it was doing that.
