When we start our Lurker's Luau thread, perhaps you can post some of your neighbor's recipes, and we can all have a cyber feast!
Cyber parties can be lots of fun. An amusing diversion.

I, too remember the old days at BT it was my life line when I was first Dx with MS as I have slowly slid down the hill I still come here most everyday. Although I dont always sign in I do read the posts. In the old days if you started a thread it would fall off the front page within 24 hours. Now it takes weeks. Sad.
Remember our cyber parties. I believe it was Har Dee Har Har that used to start them.

Some have moved to NT (neurotalk ... yes it's no longer censoredOriginally posted by Gary View PostI have often wondered where folks have gone, I like to think that they are doing so much better that they have moved on to better things.
), a few have their own forums, but from what I can tell the majority just stopped using forums. Some went to Facebook ... but even that is slowing down. It's a real shame we had to hit rock bottom and then punch a hole through that to fall another 100 miles, but I think we are learning from those mistakes and have a bright future.
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?
Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end
Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".
It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.
Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen
Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.
Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

Hey, I went to NeuroTalk, when Braintalk was down,
and at the time was PO'd with JL & BT. But I go to
both places every day now. A few of us do.
I'm a multi tasker...lol... I even do Family only on FB.
There is no excuse for deserting BT for FB or anyplace
else.

((((((Gary)))))) If there's one thing we need around here, it's more sex symbols!
So log in and join in!
We'll expect you at our Lurker's Luau!
((((((agent107)))))) I'm glad you posted too. We need a little stirring up around here! It's GOOD FOR US!
So, thank you for starting this thread!
((((((Mike)))))) Thanks for all of your effort, time, energy, and love in rebuilding and maintaining BT!
((((((Sally)))))) Nothing wrong with multi-tasking!
I'm glad you stayed with us. Too few Child Neuro members migrated to NT, and I didn't want to start over.
Brain Talk is and always will be my home.
