MS clinical trials for stem cell therapy started in NY

A new type of therapy using your own stem cells is starting clinical trials in NY involving 20 people. I've listed a couple of sites below concerning these trials. Meredith Viera and her husband, Richard Cohen who has MS, moderated the first day of a conference at the Vatican on the truth of using Adult stem cell therapy. At the conference were 2 people who had had this specific type of transplant 3 yrs. ago and who are now having considerable improvement in MS disability. Richard Cohen has recently started the NY trials and has a video showing his recent procedure for retrieving stem cells from bone marrow.

What a show - I am glad they videotaped him. I have been following him through his writings for years and wish him the very best.

It will be interesting to see how Richard responds to the stem cell treatment because I've read that people in their 60s do not do as well. He is 66 but this process being used to treat the stem cells before re-injecting is somewhat different than others so hope it proves to be effective for us old folks.. Of course. if this treatment is eventually approved for Rx, it is 5 or 6 yrs away.
