Supreme Court to hear Teva's appeal trying to block generic Copaxone

There may be a delay in marketing the generic version of Copaxone because the Supreme Court is going to hear Teva's case for delaying it:

If Teva loses its Supreme Court appeal, the generic Copaxone could be on the market in May 2014.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Oh yes indeedy it will. The article states:

Any extra time could be valuable for Teva. It is frantically trying to switch patients to a new, more concentrated form of Copaxone that requires patients to inject themselves only three times a week instead of seven.
That new version would not be subject to generic competition. And the company hopes that once patients get used to fewer injections, it will be harder for insurers to force patients to use a generic that requires them to go back to injecting themselves every day.
I'd say Teva has been "frantically trying" just on the basis of the e-mails I've been getting from them, and I haven't taken Copaxone for several years now.

I inject Copaxone every day and I am so ready for 3x week..

Maybe there will be a pharma meal out of the Teva push.
        One can always hope.
