1776 The fourth of July

We send our warmest regards to all of You and Your nation.
We also remember the girls and boys who gave their all for us, and who were no longer be able to celebrate another fourth of July.

PS: The “ Old Glory “ on the picture is not a “ simple “ Old Glory, this flag has a lot of history behind, this flag was welcoming hundreds of returning WW2 Veterans visiting their former battle fields.
This flag was on several ceremonies, and meetings, Lanzerath,Büllingen,Elsenborn ridge,St. Vith, ( in St. Vith, twice she was leading a parade of returning Veterans).
Krinkelt-Rocherath ,Monschau.
She was given with a group West-Point cadets to West-Point and was flying there, and was sent back to me.
The flag was on Military cemeteries, Hamm ( Luxembourg ) Henri-Chapelle Neuville & Condroz, Flanders-Field ( Belgium )
Also on the beaches in France Arromanches and Omaha beach.
She was welcoming returning Veterans at the airport in Brussels ( do You remember dear Morris ) and Luxembourg,in Luxembourg, I was climbing up on the airport roof, today security people will take you in directly.
All the times I was the proud “ flag bearer “.
So as You can read, this Old Glory is a historical one, each team If I see the flag flying, a movie goes thru my mind.
With Love, from Belgium.
Edgard
