I loves Fall!! It's a happy, yet nostalgic/sad time for me. My 45th Anniv. was Sat.
and DH is in Heaven. But most of the memories are great. I still get excited when
school resumes and Football !!
Today is a good day.....I woke up...LOL!

I'm so glad renee started this thread.
I was so busy running around today that I didn't have a lot of time.
I like fall too. But it's the time when I start going places again--all the places I didn't go in the summer because I'd prefer to avoid the heat.
Today's adventure was a trip for a hearing aid checkup that is in another town some distance away.
I'm glad I went to this because they were able to turn the aids up a notch. I was watching a movie last night but understood only a small part of it because there were no subtitles. The hearing aid people tell me not to expect much help with movies or TV though.
Fall is a great time--so many days when you don't need to warm up or cool off by turning something on.

Poured here all day with temps around 58-60 all day. Dad seems to be more stable the past couple of weeks physically but is losing a lot cognitively (makes one wonder if the cancer has hit the brain).Comment

This has been the BEST day for me!
I started some new meds for pain a few weeks ago, and I did get plenty of sleep out of it. Well today, I must have reached the point FINALLY where my body got adjusted to them. I haven't felt this NORMAL in a long time. Pain free, wide awake all day.
I feel like I can pick up this table...ARGH...MY BACK!!!

Happy Autumn everyone!
I, too, love the cooler temps and pretty colors yet still with sunshine that I can tolerate now that the heat is gone. I hope it isn't a miserable winter...would love a mild one!
Howie - what pain med are you taking?
Peg, I hope you are healing well!
The possible side effects of the oral meds scare me, so I won't be trying any of them. I'd love a report from anyone who has taken them though.
Sally, I'm sorry it is a bitter sweet time for you, happy to have loved, but sad to have lost. Sounds like you have wonderful memories of your DH.
