    Rhyme or Reason?

Do you think there is any specific reason for where demyelination hits? Possibly one that we don't yet understand?

Or do you think it's purely random and luck (or bad luck) of the draw what area and physiology is affected?

    Totally random.

It may depend on where your lesions are??

Lol. That's what I'm asking, Sally. Do you think there's any rhyme or reason to where the lesions hit?

Or why there's an "h" in "rhyme", now that I'm in a contemplative mood. Lol

LOL! I found 26 words, some uncommon, that start with "rh" but no explanation of why. It's puzzling.

            Random

As for rhyme, completely without reason.
            Rhyme:
Middle English rime, from Old French, from medieval Latin rithmus, via Latin from Greek rhuthmos (see Only registered and activated users can see links., Click Here To Register...). The current spelling was introduced in the early 17th century under the influence of rhythm.
            Rhythm:
mid 16th century (also originally in the sense ‘rhyme’): from French rhythme, or via Latin from Greek rhuthmos (related to rhein ‘to flow’).

I have scoliosis at the point of my one spinal lesion.
                Hmm.

I think I heard new cancer research that said that something like 2/3 of cancers are simply bad, random luck, with 1/3 being environmental and genes. I wonder if MS will turn out to be like that.

.I'm not sure if it would make me feel better or worse if it turns out that most of MS is completely arbitrary.

I think that whether you get ms has some environmental and/genetic component in some instances. But generally it appears random. And where socifically lesions appear is definitely random.

I know it is supposed to be random, but still I can't help but keep going back to the real bad auto accident I was in while in Europe many years ago and long before MS. I was beat up real bad around the head and neck area and the upper spine where I was so beat up is where my worse lesion is. That is where I hurt an awful lot also.
