I find the voice and cadence really make a huge difference. It can put me to sleep if there's no energy to the recording!

Well 20+ years ago I listened to Steven Kings Nightmares and Dreamscapes on tape while I drove back and forth to work. It was 26.7 miles one way and took about 1 1/2 hours one way if there wasn't any accidents. It was the first time I ever listened to one and there were a few times sitting in traffic at 4 o'clock in the morning I wondered.......... Ahhh the joys of commuting in Southern Calif! Now that I've seen. Unfortunately, I don't remember much of it. I used to be able to name so many movies, and pretty much any movie star I saw, but most of that is gone, or takes me a long time to remember.
