Does anyone know about Glatopa, the generic form of Copaxone?

The generic version of Copaxone is now available in the US, and assistance is available for MS patients.

Is anyone taking any of these types of Copaxone?

What I'm wondering is why the generic form has a dosage of 20mg/ml by daily subcutaneous injection but the brand-name Copaxone dosage has been 40mg/ml by daily subcutaneous injection?

The new 3-times-weekly Copaxone injection is 40 mg/ml for each injection.

So someone taking brand-name Copaxone in the 3-times-weekly form will be getting a total of 120mg/ml per week, while someone taking the generic daily injection will be getting a total of 140mg/ml per week.

--Both of these are a lot less than the 280mg/ml per week that persons taking regular Copaxone get with the daily injection.

SuzEQ, thanks so much for straightening me out on the dosage. I've removed part of my post so as to avoid more confusion.

There is a patient assistance program available to help with paying for Glatopa:
