Extra time coming your way

I'm not going to say it's "Fall back" time. Some people here might do just that.

But for most of the US and Canada and many other parts of the world, on Saturday night we gain an hour when daylight saving time ends.

But everyone here remembered that, I know.

Arizona, Hawaii, and a small part of Alaska aren't involved.

I say we get rid of it altogether, just keep one time throughout the year like so many other places do in the world.

Personally, I'd rather it be lighter later in winter.

I agree. It was originally done so farmers could have extra time in their fields. Today, it's all done by huge machines that plant and harvest in the blink of an eye. There are still small farmers, but they don't need the time changes either. Leave the time alone.

It's like the old Roman phrase..."Leap forward, fall on your sword".

The animals know what time it is and they don't use human time anyhow.

I gave them food and water, I gave them treats, I gave them crushed up oven roasted turkey. All that's left is their cheese, but they have to wait until I eat. I'm a tough cat daddy!
