    A new symptom

This is for those new to MS. Tonight, my teeth are chattering. But it's nothing to worry about. It will pass, that's the MS journey.

That is a different one! I am guessing that this has happened before?

Howie, it might not be MS. Watch out for fever and other signs of infection.

      Best to you,

        Howie,
How long does the chattering go on? I am paying attention because I am aware that abnormal teeth movements that are long term can cause trouble. Not to say your teeth are abnormal...but...!

Does your MS effect your mouth muscles? It could be a tremor.

I always thought that teeth chattering, shivering and goose bumps were the body's natural reaction to cold. The body automatically does these things to produce or retain heat.
I am cold almost all the time now, but cannot shiver, chatter my teeth or produce a single goose bump regardless of how cold I feel. I think the hypothalamus in my brain is completely out of whack!

I found this which may be of interest to you with regards to possible reasons for teeth chattering.

Thanks everyone! It's gone today. I just got in from going to the store. It's cold out there, but not cold enough to make my teeth chatter again!
