Agate, I have a laptop with a touch pad, no mouse. Any idea if there's a trick I can use?

If you mean how to enlarge photos (or whatever) so you can see them better on the screen, I'm an ignoramus about laptops but if it's at all like my iPad and my PC, there's probably a zoom feature built into it that enables you to enlarge the picture on the screen.
It may be a matter of spreading your fingers out over the screen (and pinching them in to make the picture smaller), or it may be something you do with the touchpad.
If you mean how to enlarge pictures you want to post, that's another matter. If you have Photobucket or some other online photo storage arrangement, there's a way to adjust the size of the photo. You may need to dig around among a zillion options but it's there.
However, when I think I have a photo or other image fixed so it's a good size and try to bring it here, it still turns out smaller. Sometimes.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Thanks Agate. I guess I just need to experiment with it. I have a bunch of pictures that are saved, and use them for a background on my start page, but the computer makes it cover the screen size automatically. Too bad it won't size things automatically to post here. Back to the keyboard.......

I've found that with photos I need to make sure I have time and energy for dealing with a lot of trial and error, mostly error. After a few thousand tries I find that I'm more at ease with poking around and editing photos.Originally posted by Howie View PostThanks Agate. I guess I just need to experiment with it. You do know that by clicking on "Go Advanced" you'll be able to preview any of your posts? Click on "Preview Post" in the lower right corner below the message window. If you don't like the way it's looking, you go back to the post and tinker some more (or give up on it).
I've found it's always a good idea to preview any posts involving images. Even then they don't always come out the way the Preview post looked. Then there's time to go back to the post and edit it.
This makes it possible to play around with photos as much as you want before posting them.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

I just found a cool trick with this computer! If I put the pointer over an image, then put 2 fingers in the middle of my touchpad, and spread my fingers like doing a peace sign, the image will enlarge. I'll keep experimenting. I dun learnt somethin!

I have a friend with an iPad, and I've seen him do it, but never even thought of doing that. With a laptop, you never touch the screen, only the keyboard and touchpad. I got no instruction manual with it, you have to figure it out yourself. And with my Swiss cheese brain, it's not easy!

I don't do Google. My whole online experience is 3 forums. This one, one car forum, and Facebook. I also have a bunch of car parts sites saved, but seldom go to them because my car is done. This forum is the only one I would ever post pictures on, you know, like me wearing my SpongeBob thong.

I don't know how I ever got along without Google. I've Googled for instructions on crochet stitches, and how to water certain plants, and songs I wanted to hear, and on and on.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.
