    Maybe there's hope...

    PwHIV are now doing it.

That's a good idea. No need to throw them away if they could help someone!

I don't understand. An HIV infected organ placed in a healthy person would make them HIV infected. But I understand both in this case have HIV. But our organs don't cause a recipient to get MS, yet it's not allowed to donate to another person with MS, or without. Is that correct?

One thing you can do is make a tissue donation to help figure out MS. It costs you nothing, and is a chance to help many and solve this strange MS puzzle. I've been signed up for years, and carry the card in my billfold.

In the UK and I'm pretty sure the US, you can be an organ donor even though you have MS.

Howie, is the Rocky Mountain MS Center the place where you've made arrangements to give your brain for MS research? I recall you mentioned making arrangements a while back but can't recall where it was.

Pay attention Howie. Both donor and recipient have HIV so they're already infected and the organs are just being discarded. Now they have a use.

              Unlike your brain apparently.

Vicky!!! Leave my poor brain alone, it's all dusty, and full of holes, but I love the ugly thing!

Agate, that is the place where I've signed up. They contact a local hospital to do all the work, then send them the samples. They pay for the whole thing.

I'll have to check and see if I can donate other organs. You can't take them with you, but I'll sure miss my thong!

A museum might be interested in your thong if you're thinking about donating it....

For quite a while I've been intending to sign up for that MS research tissue-donation plan and haven't yet done it. Thanks for posting about it.

Can you just imagine what that museum would look like? Or what else they have. Ha ha ha ha.

For some reason, the film title "The Little Shop of Horrors" comes to mind.
