Please don't take this wrong, but I have heard most of these songs 40-50 years ago, and I don't want to hear them again. I have an all Sony surround system, and a ton of cassettes and CDs, but it's been years since I've even turned it on.

Music was such an important thing when I was young, but I've always been driven to hear what I've never heard before. But as I got older, I've heard it all, and don't care to hear it again.

But please don't stop posting music, I just needed to tell you how it was for me.

I searched high and low for a good song about Joan or Howie, but alas, I could not find.

I'm sorry you're not enjoying the trip down memory lane, Howie. Music really lifts my spirits, and I'm enjoying the old, as well as the ones I've never heard before. I think I need to listen to more music, not less, it really brightens my mood.

I'll try to remember to write the song name out each time so you can skip over it if it's not tickling your fancy.

It's a song. According to Wikipedia it goes back to at least 1908 and may have been written by Huddie Ledbetter (Leadbelly). There are many recordings of it.
