So, I went back and found the old thread (10 pages back) where I first reported on the botox, but as usual the thread veered off into other things, so I'm starting this new one.
It's been six months since I had the botox injections into my bladder. After the first ten days of leaks, I've had no problems. A couple of bladder infections along the way, but those could well relate to the Foley catheter use. So yesterday I went back to the urologist for a six month follow up visit. He says seven months seems about how long the effects last, and it's better to be proactive --to get another round of injections before the first wear off entirely. So I'm scheduled for this at the end of September. This is very minor...mild anesthesia, in for a couple of hours, then out and home. I really encourage any of you with severe bladder issues to consider this. It's made my already complicated life much easier.
