This is really insightful! Especially when I deal with cog fog and memory loss almost every day! Especially names. I can never remember names. Thanks!

Matching names and faces is hard.

I see someone and know I should know that person. The face is familiar. But I can't recall what context I know the person from--a neighbor who lives in this building? A driver on a van I've ridden on? A delivery person? Someone I know from somewhere else?

I've tried to think of ways of wriggling out of this situation without too much embarrassment but all I can come up with is something like this: "I know I know you from somewhere but I'm sorry I'm terrible about names."
      SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Many of us on here deal with this to some extent. I do a lot of reading, and play some games on the computer and different things to try and offset it as much as I can. Living alone makes it harder to do I think because I do not interact with that many people, now that I am no longer working.

Names are difficult. My ability to remember them is affected by how I am doing at any particular time. Some times it is worse than others.
