This is a start! It does sound as if it will take a while to perfect this idea but I hope they'll find ways to do that. Of all of the functions that MS can take away, walking may be the worst, the most disastrously life-changing.
    SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Not be able to walk is so life altering. Even taking a walk in the neighborhood becomes life altering, because then one cannot get to know their neighbors as well.

Cool concept. I'm just praying they did not purposefully injure the monkey's spine in order to do the experiment as the injury seems to be only affecting a single limb which I find suspicious.

We don't know how that cutting happened, do we? Was it an accidental injury? If it was, why isn't that stated?

I am sure they purposely crippled the monkey. What has been done to primates in the name of science would disgust you.

It's great that so much research is being done on the nervous system but apparently researchers aren't told what medical doctors are told--"Above all, do no harm." This sounds like serious harm to a monkey to me.

That's because they find animal lives to be unimportant.

It's nothing new. We just have to remember where our help has come from and be grateful for the monkeys and the mice that were scarificed for us.

I have heard it said that if you do harm to an animal it is likely you will soon be violent to a human. The disrespect for animals is another symptom of our society's general disregard for the value of life.

Funnlegs, maybe true, but somehow the mice do not bother like the monkeys do.
