Years ago there was a comedian George Gobel, and his TV show must have been very popular. Everyone was going around saying, "--And you're a--dirty bird," one of his standard sayings. It usually meant nothing so far as I could figure out.

Cat called me by name and said "Sorry" because she was talking about vaginal issues. So to make her know it really didn't bother me, I told her my grandmother was a pianist which sounds a little like penis. Yes, it was a stretch, but I tried. Sorry everyone for putting my poor attempt at humor on the forum.

Appearances can be so deceiving. When I was a youngish 22 year old at an hourly job, a broken down guy in dirty overalls and scruffy beard came in. Later the owner told me the guy was the richest one in the region and owned a huge farming business. Never forgot that lesson.

Am sure we all have lived in towns where there are well cared for and wealthy people who have killed, stolen and *****.

Yes. Some of the disabled people who are apparently less than welcome in some establishments might just have real money to spend. Money that is just as good as anyone else's.

Good going, BBS! It sometimes...well always....surprises me when establishments don't have accessibility..and when it's brought up to them that they don't, and are told there's an easy fix, their response is something like, "Well, gee, no one ever shops here with a disability so we didn't think it important". Or "no one comes to this church in a wheelchair so we didn't bother with a ramp", or whatever. To which I want to scream: "Hey, you idiot, no one COMES here with a disability because someone with a disability can't get in your door!!!!"
