    OT: my new puppy! <3

She's a rescue, part pointer and part pitty. Onyx is a little rascal, but she's so sweet!

I hope these attachments work. It's my first attempt! Well, second. Linda

:) Wow she is cute Linda. How old is she? It is a joy to have a dog around. Enjoy! I adopted a 7 year old Chihuahua in Feb almost 2 years ago.

At first she had a lot of fears and had apparently not been well treated. She was afraid of noises thunder, hands, etc. Now she will come put her paw on me when she wants to be held. When she wants to get under the covers she comes up by my head and puts a paw on me and I raise the covers and she goes under.

I have doggie doors and a fenced backyard so she can go out when she wants. But she loves going out front on a leash. She wears a shirt and a Thunder vest all the time but still gets cold since her fur is very thin and short. I love having her company. Jeanie :)

      Hi Jeanie,

She's about 3 months old, I think. Rescues are the best! I didn't need another dog (this brings my pack up to four,) but she stole my heart. What's your dog's name?

I think Thunder vests are great. My son uses one on his lab mix Jake when there's thunder or fireworks and it really helps him relax.

:) Linda her name is Lacy. Her owner was a man in a wheelchair and he apparently ran over her tail since it is only half there. As soon as I start to move my scooter she backs off.

Lacy has allergies and her meds for it run almost $200 every six months. She is on a new steroid called Apoquel. She take a half pill everyday. I had to take up all the throw rugs and close off one carpeted bedroom since she will rub herself almost raw on them. It is much better with the pills but she will still do it on a rug. Probably habit. Jeanie :)
