I've never thought of Eagles in Florida. I hope they will do great. A beautiful bird!

I don't think of Eagles in Florida either. I think of them in or near mountains. At least they're not covered in snow or battling cold temperatures!

I always think of them in the Rockies, in really high and rough mountains.

There was something about this either in the news or on the internet in the past week and I wondered then when Nuthatch was going to post the pictures.

She has a real Eagle eye when it comes to news.

Wondering why this eagle is always shaking it's head? Good close-up view of the eaglet right now.

I think I'm seeing the eaglet, being half-sat on by the parent.

I saw this on the news recently and thought of you turning me onto it last year, Joan! Thanks!

There was something on the news about an eagle's nest, and they said everyone was watching it. They didn't say it was Harriett, so I don't know if it is her. They said that one of the eggs had hatched and it looked like the other one might not because it has been too long.

Mom got out of the nest. Junior is there, trying hard to walk around, next to an egg.

Wow, watching such a zoomed in, up close feeding, I can almost taste the morsels that mom is tenderly giving the little one and I don't like fish or raw meat! Yuck!

Nuthatch, I watched that too. Amazing! I didn't think the dead raw meat looked very appetizing, but baby sure did. Then she stuck little one and egg back under her and continued to sit.

If the egg is not viable, mom will eventually push it out of the nest. But she's keeping it under her which is a good sign. COME ON OUT #2!!!
