Google news and links to WaPo, NYT, LATines, a conservative local paper. Since Nov 9 I stopped watching TV news and radio news. The exception was the day Ft Lauserdale airport was shot up, as its very close to my area,

PBS TV news daily, local news occasionally via the Internet version of the local rag of a newspaper for this town, the New Yorker and the Nation. I get regular e-mails from them as well as from the New York Times.

My computer (Windows 10) has an easy way to get lots of news right away but many of the sources are questionable, and I don't look at it much.

I get a lot of news, considering that I'm doing without the local TV news quite nicely and not subscribing to the one newspaper this one-horse town has. Most of my adult life I always had to watch the local and national news on one of the major networks (those networks that used to be major) like CBS or NBC, and I had to get the daily paper. I gave them both up in recent years and can't say I miss them.

I grew up pretty much the same way. You got half an hour local news, then half an hour national news from CBS, NBC, and ABC. That was the 6 o'clock time slot for all three. Plus the local daily newspaper. Now Cable and Satellite and the Net provide so many ways to get your news.

MSNBC (TV), Microsoft News (internet)(which is really a compilation of news from a variety of sources), Washington Post (newspaper), New York Times(newspaper), TIME magazine, PBS (TV), Wisconsin State Journal(newspaper) (I live in Wisconsin), Vanity Fair (magazine, on-line version), regular ABC nightly news, occasionally NBC or CBS. We used to watch Al-Jaazera News when it was available, but they folded. Oh, and BBC - British Broadcasting Association news, television.

I am pretty much the same as Ann....I also get Washington Post and NHK news which gives news from Japan and throughout out Asia

For quite a while I have been listening to NPR (.National Public Radio). Not only do I get comprehensive news but I get that news reported in civil way that focuses on ideas and not personalities.

I get the Wall Street Journal because husband regulates securities. I've learned a lot. And they have had some good writing.

I miss Walter Mossberg talking about technology.

I tend to avoid the news. DH is more into it than I am. But on occasion I decide I need to know what is happening.

I think all the news sources listed above have an internet version, including Al Jazeera, sometimes in more than one language.
Some of the ones I used to watch on satellite I now have to find their website. Al Jazeera and CNN are two of them.
On our satellite in Iran we usually watch BBC World or Euronews. Then Iran stations for national news. We also have access to Russia Today, France 24, NHK (Japanese), CCTV (Chinese), and Bloomberg.

In Wisconsin on cable, it's the local networks, sometimes PBS.
Sometimes I'll check into the stations that broadcast the House or Senate.
We'll click on the links on Yahoo, but as someone noted the sources sometimes are unreliable and some are ads.
