We have a number of posts with great information on this site.

I have been on rituximab (rituxan) for a number of years. It is the same as Ocrevus. It has helped me a lot.

Nuthatch, we have at least a couple of people here on this forum who plan to try it when it is available to them. We are hoping for some first hand information regarding this drug.

How to pay for Ocrevus is a question. Medicare/Medicaid might or might not cover all or part of it, depending on your type of coverage and what state you are in.

If you sign up for Genentech's Access Solutions, you can apply for coverage under their GATCF program. It looks as if Ocrevus would be covered under that plan if your income is under $150,000/year and you don't have other coverage. They also have an assistance program for copays.

There are ways of finding out more if you follow the steps at this Website:

I called Genentech for answers and that is the information they gave me.

When I asked if Ocrevus was being prescribed for SPMS, this was the reply: "You'd need to discuss that with your doctor. Ocrevus is primarily for primary progressive and relapsing forms of MS but you and your doctor might decide that you'd be a candidate as well."

Hi,
I have been taking off label drugs and drugs approved for stages of MS that I was not labeled to be.. I think my neurologist advocates for me as I had tried other things and did not respond and was worsening...that is generally the way it goes.

Sorry about my torturous sentence structure! You can tell the farming season has begun...I am exhausted!

There are so many drugs out now I am getting them confused. I can't remember the drawbacks to Lemtrada. Will need to look it up.
