    Book: Misdiagnosed

A title in a catalogue mailed to me jumped out. Misdiagnosed, by Jody Berger. She was diagnosed with MS. The blurb said that eventually she did much research and reversed it with nutrition changes?

Have you seen this book. Hate to waste time with it if it's a wasteland of a book.

Nutrition changes? I'm not familiar with that book but....lets be reasonable here: If MS COuLD be "reversed" by "nutrition changes">....don't you think that might have been known before now? Yes, I know all about the argument about "big pharma hiding cures so they can continue to make money and unethical doctors willing to play along..." But really. Not all of them are evil. If there was truly any evidence to support her reversal....it would be out there somewhere available to all ...

I haven't heard of the book but I found it on Amazon along with several reviews. Interesting that one reviewer points out that the author was diagnosed with MS by two different neurologist and still was sure she'd been misdiagnosed.

It would be interesting to read her account, though. If you read it, BBS, maybe you'll share your observations about it?

Wonder if the "nutrition changes" could be the Terry Wahls diet?

Is this her first and only book?

Okay, I found more info. She discovered her body had sig problems with gluten in all forms maybe due to genetic mutation. So, her symptoms and MRI findings had to do with that. So, she said she never had MS, was misdiagnosed.she didn't have Celiac. She had some gene basis for gluten sensitivity.

I think Wahls diet, among other things, eliminates all sources of gluten including grain fed dairy, grain fed animal meat, processed foods, supplements with gluten related filler. And so forth.

The book is properly titled "misdiagnosed". She didn't "reverse MS".....she got properly diagnosed with something else, that was treatable with a diet change. Big difference.

Good point! My language was careless. ... it does make me wonder about what percent of patients are misdiagnosed as having MS.
