MS Society Webinar on home accessibility, Tuesday, June 13

Some people here have made substantial changes to make their homes more accessible, and others have expressed an interest in this type of modification. The National MS Society is offering a Webinar on Tuesday, June 13, but you do need to register in advance for it and remember to tune in to it.

It's called "Accessibility Room by Room" and will air between 8 and 9:15 PM Eastern Time.

If this link works, it should point the way:

Thanks Agate! I tried to sign up for this, but so far have been unable to. Apparently I am already a member, so I have asked for new password. I am sure I will get it right away.

I signed up for another Webinar in the series a while back, and shortly after it was shown, a transcript of it was available, as well as a video.

Thats a very bad time for me. Do you think they have other ways to access the program after the fact? And if not, why wouldn't they want that?

        Edited to add:
I just emailed NMSS and asked if it's viewable at other times and in shorter bursts,

I asked for new password and a way to access it, but still not have heard. So Agate if you see anything on it would very much appreciate a link to it. You are very good to us about providing us with links to things.

It will almost certainly be available in an archived form though it might be a day or so after the actual Webinar. I posted a link to one of those archived Webinars in May. It's in the thread on the "Pulfrich phenomenon," about an eye condition they mentioned in the Webinar, which was about MS vision problems.

I'll sign up for this one too and will let you know.

Edited to add: When I signed up, I received an e-mail mentioning that the presentation is being recorded and will be available for viewing.

I watched the Webinar but found it disappointingly skimpy. Maybe the brief section on vehicle accessibility options would interest those who drive but the rest of it was mainly material that everyone here probably knows.

I didn't know that there are pull-down kitchen cabinets you can get, though.

I'll post a link to the archived Webinar as soon as it becomes available.

This page shows some of the many items that can be helpful in a kitchen. Amazing what they have these days but the costs add up quickly. You can add them as you go or as money permits. Start saving up those pennies!

That (post #8) looks just like the one shown on the program. It would be neat to have if it works well, without jamming or needing oil constantly.

Yes, nuthatch--that cabinet parts link is perfectly astonishing. I had no idea there were all of these possibilities available.

But why do they make it so difficult to see? What's the point making a webinar if no one can see it? Thanks for the links Nuthatch and Agate. I don't have it in me to search ways around problems that shouldn't exist. It should be "click here to view webinar".
