Thanks for the well wishes, my life has been crazy insane. I fell on Monday last week, took my furbaby, Taelor to the vet on Wednesday because he was having incontinence problems, I was thinking he had a bladder infection, but during the vet visit I learned that he had cancer and was in a lot of pain because of it. Sadly we had to say goodbye to him and have him humanely euthanized. Losing another love to cancer has been hard on me.

I was hoping to get my stitches out yesterday, but my caregiver called out sick and they couldn't find a sub. Hopefully, I'll be able to get them out tomorrow.

Good to hear from you, Jendie, but I'm so sorry about Taelor. Too much grief piled onto you lately!

Falls have a way of happening if we're tired or upset but we can't always stay rested and calm. I hope you're recovering from that injury and will be able to get rid of the stitches soon.

Glad you checked in, Jendie, but sorry you fell again and that your beloved cat is gone. You are missed here.

I think people without a bond to animals underestimate how much it hurts when our pets die. It certainly can magnify other grief.

I am so sorry to hear this jendie. Pets own our hearts for sure.

Another grief Jendie. I am so sorry. Things seem to have a way of happening like that. But they will turn "right side up" again. Again, it just takes so much time and what one goes through in that time is very hard. Loosing a beloved pet is another family member gone. Please keep us informed as to how you are doing.

I'm slowly swimming through life.Tomorrow, I need to get my teenager to the high school so he can have photos taken, pick up the district owned/distributed laptop, and his get class schedule. It's hard to believe my baby will be a junior in high school this year and the school district is going digital.

I hope this will be a turning point for him. School starts on August 29th.

Life goes on, I guess, but you may feel as if you're underwater while going through the daily routines.

That seems like an early start for a school year, or is that the way most schools are now? Always was the Tuesday after Labor Day but that was back in olden times.

When I was in school, we started the first Wednesday after Labor Day and that was the routine here, until this year. I have no idea why they are starting 8 days earlier this year.

This seems to be common now. Our friend's daughter started school last week. School then ends in May. Like you and many others, for me and my children (two generations), school started the day after Labor Day and ended in early June. I don't know why this is changing, but it would be interesting to find out.
