    Baclofen question

Early This morning for about five hours, I feel kind of queasy for unknown reasons. It went away. However, it got me thinking.

Baclofen is one of those drugs you shouldn’t miss a dose. You can get into deep trouble if you miss more than a dose. At least that’s my understanding of it.

So, if you have A stomach virus and you can’t keep anything down for a day, it seems like it could become a crisis if you can’t keep your Baclofen down. I don’t just mean in increased spasticity, I mean serious problems because your body becomes sort of addicted to Baclofen

Do you know anything about that situation?

Queasy again from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and too awake. Thinking it’s a side effect of ZPak. Today will be last day taking the pill. So maybe will be last night of “side effect”

I would call my doctor, and let them tell you what you should or should not do. Good luck, and call as soon as their office opens.

Baclofen itself can make you dizzy and queasy as a side effect from my understanding.

And they make you drowsy, as opposed to hyper alert. Several years ago an antibiotic did this weird insomnia to me, started with a B, either Bactria, Bactoderm, Biaxin

I don't always do well with antibiotics, so my guess is ZPak. I have several antibiotics that are on my chart not to give me if possible. I am not exactly allergic to them, I just feel queasy and sick on them.

                      Hello
I routinely miss doses of my baclofen. When spasticity is bad I take it as prescribed but when I am better I skip doses. Never had any problem.
I know the directions say to take it on schedule to keep in in your system and working most efficiently.

That’s all I know. I have been taking it for 25 years.

Ok. So I don’t have to panic if I miss a dose here or there. Thanks Laz. Here you are grappling with bladder scare, and still helping others.
