    Using CBD oil?

I have heard from several folks over the past couple of years that CBD oil (a marijuana derivative) has helped relieve several MS symptoms...spasticity, pain, sleep disorders and fatigue specifically... I finally tried it for pain that has been sporadic but intense from an old episode of shingles. The oil that I have (100 mg) when applied to the area that fires up, relieves the acute intense pain within 30 seconds! David has a problem with joints in his left hand deviating and being painful due to arthritis. The past three days he has used a drop on each of the offending joints and literally within 15 seconds has had the pain dissipate. I would love to hear what others have experienced with this.

I can tell you that I have been using it sublingually (under the tongue) for about 3 weeks now at bedtime and I am generally sleeping better than I was before starting to use it.

What brand are you using? There seem to be many different makers. I'm glad it's working for you!

Thank you for this post. As the farming season is already gearing up ( inside the greenhouses) my body is once again spasming more often. I answered before I read any responses to your post so I will go back now to see where/how your got this. Did your doc recommend? Did you get a prescription? Any chance it interferes with other medications? I will go read the whole thread to see if these questions are answered.

Thanks again. (For giving me something to grasp on to!)

Ok! I went to my other research bible (Amazon) and found what you are talking about. They have an amazon’s choice brand and a best seller brand. I will go back and read now.
It would be nice to feel less pain!

There are two types of CBD oil: one is derived from hemp plant and thus legal in all 50 states. The other is derived from Cannibis plant and legal in states that allow medical marijuana.

As you know, I take MMJ sublingual 3x day. Mine is 50% CBD and 50% THC, a 1:1 ratio. It is the synergy between the CBD and THC that is so effective.

I found pure CBD very helpful. But not as helpful as combined THC and CBD

if you’re ordering from Amazon, it’s the hemp plant, not Cannibis plant. I did do the hemp plant. It was a modest but def benefit.

With either plant, if you find it stops working, stop for a week and then restart. Your brain will regrow receptors in the absence of the med.

Less is more. Use the least amount that helps.

Here is my blog on CBD and THC

Thanks. I have reached the point where I realized the ones on Amazon are hemp sourced. Thanks for all the information. I will go read your blog. Bye

Cherie ~ That's fantastic that you are experiencing relief with CBD oil! I truly believe that everyone, regardless of health issues, would benefit from CBD oil.

Jim takes 30 mg of CBD oil via a capsule per day. One of those capsules is 10 mg CBD and 10 mg THC, the other 20 mg are CBD oil.

Is it working? Well, let's just say that last year at this time, his oncologist gave him 3-6 months to live. Chemo did nothing for him, as the tumor grew slightly with Navelbine and Gemcitibine, which were given to him after Opdivo. Opdivo reduced the tumor by half after one dose. He's back on Opdivo now. But his new oncologist is absolutely stunned at how healthy Jim is. We are convinced that the CBD IS working.

I've started taking the same CBD capsule, 10 mg/day, and I've noticed an improvement in my RA pain.

I've read numerous articles, with comments from adults caring for their aging parents with Alzheimer's, in which they describe the remarkable positive changes in memory with CBD oil, and in controlling mood/anger with THC oil.

Just make certain that your CBD and THC oils are solvent-free. Polyethylene glycol is a common solvent used in some oils.

I have been reading about CBD oil on this forum for a long time by Sunshine and Rose. This is the first that I knew it would do any good to rub it on your skin. I always thought you had to swallow it. Nice learning something new.

I had a brother visit for a few days last week who was a "grower" off the books and he swears by hemp oil for all sorts of ailments. CBD he says is less effective than THC/CBD but I do not have a license and am not looking to get one although it is legal here. I just know that it is working for that irksome spot on my leg. And taking it sublingually (under the tongue) at bedtime seems to be improving my sleep. I have both bought it from a local pharmacist (LITKE brand) and from Amazon with the atEASE brand which gives a 20% off coupon for your next order. Neither are cheap. Both work.
