            I think it's a way of figuring out whether the brain has too much or too little iron in it, and if there's a surplus or a deficit of iron, that may have something to do with damage to the gray matter inflicted by MS.

            The notion that iron deposits in the brain have a connection to MS has been around for a while but they seem to have found a new way of measuring them.

            Just by way of an aside, the lead researcher quoted in the article, Zivadinov, was one of the principal advocates of CCSVI a while back.
