I swam 23 minutes today, 720 Yards. Legs rubbery after, but no spasms. Will try to wax the board some more this afternoon.

Today I swam 25 Yards short of half mile, 27 minutes. I stopped and didn’t go the extra two minutes due to stiffening, and had errands to run, so couldn’t risk not being able to drive.

I also waxed the board for about 4 minutes.

Congratulations, Sunshine! You should get a bunch of gold stars--

Not sure what you'll do with the gold stars, and so maybe you should treat yourself to some favorite food. There needs to be a reward!

Those stars instantly converted into a big smile :)

I know my former daily mile will no longer be possible, but was dearly hoping a half mile was reachable!
                      Thanks for the support.

Learning the fine art of parceling out the energy supply is so tricky, particularly when you can't ever really know for sure just how long you will last. I'm always figuring out just how much I think I can get away with. "If I do this, then I probably can't do that," etc.

Is there surfing this week end?

BTW, there were sharks around the town we stay in, Truro, on the Cape. One man got bitten the day before we left but not at a beach we use.

My DD was in town so I had to skip surfing, too bad, conditions were good!

Today I swam 23 minutes, 749 Yards. Stopped because I had to save some legs for an outing.

Particularly with at least two people here coping with shark-infested waters!

Yesterday it was a bit cooler, and I walked outside around the parking lot, which is more pleasant than it sounds because there are quite a few trees surrounding this place.

I'm planning a couple of longer walks when the weather turns a bit cooler. Anyone else ever stroll around your neighborhood just to be circulating out there, get some exercise and see what's happening?

I've always enjoyed this. There are sometimes new buildings under construction--or old ones being demolished--and it's interesting to see what's going on in people's gardens, what they are growing, how their outdoor animals are doing. Sometimes somebody even says something.

In a city as big as Chicago you get into the habit of not saying anything to people who pass you as you walk along but here sometimes people greet each other even though we're strangers. It's particularly true of people using mobility devices. Someone using a power chair or scooter might wave to me, with my rollator.
