    Interesting.

There is this but it's a different study (same journal though) and not dealing with the appendix so far as I can figure out:

Agate, who was it YEARS ago that was always talking about the gut, and promoted a diet?

I just remembered, the Paleolithic diet.

Howard L. Weiner, MD of the Ann Romney MS Center at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, has written and researched on the gut biome and MS.

It has been discussed on numerous occasions on this forum, especially in the past. As Howie said there was someone on here who talked a lot about it, but I can't remember who. Bet Agate can remember.

I'm getting a beer gut, does that count?

Sorry to let you down, Virginia, but I can't recall. There were several people who were keen on various supplements, usually vitamin D, but I couldn't recall discussion of the gut microbiome. I went looking into the archives--so far no luck.

Ted Hutchinson, Braindead, and kciN (formerly Nick, I think) were the ones I remember who had quite a lot to say about diet and supplements.

                  Thanks, agate.

I wonder if the stool enemas really ARE going to be impactful for common diseases? I see the NMSS are funding one such study for us.

I hope that’s not the cure.

No needles, no toxic drugs with risk of death or disability or dire warnings, no side effects, no outlandish price, no tweaking our immune system that may impact our ability to fight infections, etc.

Could be worse! May be icky, but we'd have one heck of a time coming up with some very funny jokes about it!

If my appendix has been part of my urinary tract for 12 years, does that help with immunity or make me even more of a freak?
