    Cocoa, anyone?

Some Oxford researchers studied 40 people and decided that "a flavonoid beverage" like cocoa helps MS fatigue. Good news for all chocolate lovers!

Would it have to be cocoa? It's always served hot, and I don't do hot beverages. I'm too apt to spill them. Cold cocoa doesn't appeal to me. Couldn't I just nibble on some chocolate and get the same benefit, I wonder?

I think you would get the same benefit - that is one of the reasons that I have a small piece after my yogurt at lunch. It gives me a boost of energy.

Agate, no hot herbal tea even? I have a cup every night. I like lemon zinger and tangerine/orange zinger. I put just a dollop of lemon juice in it.

It would be hard to do without my chocolate or hot tea. I no longer drink coffee because of the caffeine. While chocolate does have caffeine, I eat such a small piece that it is not a problem.

Virginia, white chocolate has no caffeine at all in it because there is no cocoa in white chocolate.

But Suze-Q, it's just not chocolate unless it's chocolate colored!

Sunshine, I eat one piece of dark Dove chocolate. They come individually wrapped, so I am not as tempted to eat more. I hope it is 80%, however I think someone posted something on here not too long ago that all chocolate was good for you.

You're really good at resisting temptation. When I eat one piece of dark Dove chocolate, I go on to a second piece.

It might have been stillstANNding who posted that all chocolate is good for you. I believe she studied with a chocolate guru as a teacher and knows everything there is to know about chocolate.

                Good guess but no.
I just like chocolate. Still eating Justin’s Organic Peanut Butter Cups from Wholefoods. They are small and individually wrapped but that doesn’t stop me.

Jim and I enjoy Green & Black's Organic 85% cacao bar.

One thing to check when buying chocolate is the sugar content. One teaspoon of sugar equals 4 grams.

I do the same thing va! One piece a day. I also warm it by holdin in my fist a minute or so—makes it creamier. I don’t think its 80%, but I chose it for flavor....

I have been biting mine off a little at the time. I was biting on the same side all the time, and my Dentist picked up a small dark spot on the bottom tooth right where I was biting it. I figured out what had caused that dark spot and told him. He laughed and said I should let it melt in my mouth or try biting somewhere else.
