Howie, I do remember your friend. One night a long time ago the hens on here became frantic because we could not find you. (Yes, I was one of them even then under a different name) It was naturally a larger group, but we were making quite a noise and she sent her husband to check on you. She came back on and said you were alright, so at that point I said to myself "good, now I can go to bed". I am truly sorry that she has passed away and that you have lost a friend.

There was another lady who was on here who lived in the Richmond area. Her husband was a radio announcer in that area and was apparently kind of well known. They went on vacation and while they were in a time share she got up off the couch to get him and her some ice cream and before they could eat it he died, right then and there. I think they were kind of far away and she had to make all the arrangements while being from another state. She later came on and said that she had kept her name very private because so many people knew him, but she told her real name and what had happened and she talked about him. They were in the process of building an accessible house and that he was such a kind person that he would tell people that he wasn't getting any younger, in order to make it sound like it was him rather than her who needed it.

Someone on here remembered her husband and how much he had enjoyed him on the radio. He said he always sounded like a really nice person. I am not sure who it was, but it could have been UndiagnosedCraig. I think he lived in that area. Do you remember a lady like her? I have often wondered what happened to her. The last I heard her Mother had come from another State to stay with her until she could decide what to do. Does this ring a bell with you?

I went out to eat tonight. First time going out since last Sunday. It was very hot and I was wobbly. I went to grocery store after I ate. I am hoping I am set for awhile. I do have to go get my hair cut and colored tomorrow. I hear the weather is going to be brutal all this week.

Virginia, she had cardiac problems, and knew it, but just lived the way she wanted to. She was a great friend, and I was blessed to know her.

I am glad you were able to find such a great friend. Its hard enough when well, but when ill, its even harder.

Today the hospital called: They have an infusion med. I will do it at the hospital Thursday. My sister who was flying down Wednesday night, will come with me , drive me, etc since DH only has WEdnesdays off. I was kind of starting to look forward to a home based one! But this will put $800 back into my pocket. I will treat sister :)

The secretary said, “This is a one time appointment”,meaning they don’t have a reliable source yet. So home might still be in the future.

Great news, Sunshine. Happy you are getting IVIG this week.

My first crop of spinach bolted (flowered). Not good. We were just starting to pick baby spinach then two days above 90 and it bolted overnight. I had to pull it out. ;-(

Linda, is there a Spinach that grows in the heat? I don’t think I have room for Malabar as I read that it vines.

I have found my passion, late, but I found it.

Good luck. I always do infusions at the hospital because my insurances always pick up the entire tab. I even do prednisone that way.

Sunshine, that is such good news. It does save you $800.00 and if you have to use it later that will be one 800.00 instead of two. I hope the hospital can keep getting it.

Ann, sorry you didn't get the spinach you wanted, but maybe Linda can help you with what you need to plant. Glad you have found your passion. (and all along we thought we were). But you can come on and tell us about your farming. Looks like Peter is going to have to buy a house with more land.

                Linda, how is John?

Farmers around here are having trouble finding enough crop to bring to market. This growing season is the problem. Climate change, global warming! We are having lots of trouble and, thank goodness, we have pensions. I feel so bad for farmers. Plant spinach again for fall harvesting. The heat made it bolt.

:) Glad you can get the IVIG at the hospital.

Went to see surgeon today and he is pleased with my progress. I return in 3 months.

Jim put my flag up outside and took me to the doctor.

I did not sleep last night so I am more tired than usual. Going to bed early tonight. Jeanie :)

I've been having trouble with my computer for the last 3 days. It wouldn't remember my login. Every time I went to any of my sites, I had to login. I finally found a solution by going online after posting my problem in SEARCH.

I went to the very first site, and it was a simple fix. It has plagued me for 3 days!

The search engine is your friend. All you have to do is ask the right question and be specific.

That is so true. I'm always asking questions via Google. It's especially good for computer problems, particularly if you have an error message you can enter into the search window.

I've seen people using Siri but I don't see how Siri is doing very much that the Google search engine (or other search engines) can't do. And I don't have to put up with Siri's chirpy voice.

Jeanie, I'm so glad you got a good progress report from the doctor.

I threw in the towel and got out of bed....so far, so good.... its my favorite time to spasm , between 1 am and 4:30am....IVIG is Thursday at the hospital. Hoping it halts this trend...
