Linda, it is upsetting I know. I hope they have found John's problems and that they either keep him overnight or get him a way home.

Laz, this is very upsetting. Are you too far away to go back to where John is?..Will they talk with you on the phone?

So sorry I am still in PA, Linda. Can you call the hospital and ask for the nurses’ station for the floor that he is on. Ask his nurse your questions and explain your dilemma.

        Best to you both,

It's been about 2 1/2 hours since you posted. I hope that the situation is resolved. John should not be discharged, unless he has transportation in place. His nurse, the social worker or discharge nurse could call a cab for him.

ANN's suggestion is great. I always get to know Jim's nurses on the phone, and they know to contact me, if he needs something.

Healing prayers on the way `

Thank you. John is home. They implanted a heart monitor because they are not sure what is happening.

I'm thankful that John is home. I'm praying that the heart monitor reveals the information needed to diagnose and treat him properly. This must be stressful for both of you, so I also send prayers for peace, calm, healing, and strength.

While you are taking care of John, please remember to take good care of yourself, Linda.
