I got my coffee maker fixed, but it will probably come loose again. It's the piece that cuts the brewing coffee flow off so you can pour a cup of coffee. But I'm never in that big of a hurry to pour a cup. I just wait on it to stop brewing, then pour my coffee. The most I ever brew at one time is two mugs, and that doesn't take long at all.

((((((Hugs to All)))))) ~
Jeanie ~
Many prayers for your SIL. Did they test her for COVID? I hope her "rehab" facility is a good one and that she receives home health care when she goes home.
Howie ~
So glad you fixed your coffee maker. Is it a Mr. Coffee? That's what I use, and every few years, I have to replace it. Be sure to clean your coffee maker every few months with vinegar. Run 4 cups of vinegar through the machine, then run water through it twice to clear out the vinegar. We found that extends the life of our Mr. Coffee makers.
agate ~
So sorry to hear about your funky molar. I have a couple of crowns, and they weren't too awful to have done. All dental work is incredibly expensive. If you have United Health Care, they offer dental insurance now. I need to look into that for my own choppers. Our dentist just reopened, and now that COVID is surging, she may have to close again. I sure don't want to go in right now. I hope you can get your tooth repaired without too much stress or money.
Virginia ~
You got a lot of mileage out of that salad! Counting the days until you order it again ...
SuzE-Q ~
Let us know how your version of Virginia's salad turns out.
Prayers for all ~ be well, be safe.
Love & Light,

Rose

Rose, it IS a Mr. Coffee, and not that old. But I think what was broken I can do without. I'll find out tomorrow. I also think Super Glue can fix it, and it's not in the flow of coffee to Super Glue my insides.

I was up about 10, and the coffee maker worked fine. I made 2 mugs, but have only had one....so far.
I thought yesterday was Friday. I think my brother calling threw me off. He always calls on Friday, but he was taking 2 days off and added to the weekend, would have 4 days off.
So today I got up, made my coffee, and got on the computer, and the very first page you see when you turn it on shows the day and date. It said Friday, the 3rd. Then I double check my phone, and again, it said Friday.
So Happy Friday to all......again!

Anyone remember that Federal Tax Return that I had money coming back? I filed it back the later part of February and had not received my money. I refiled on June 22nd and wrote across the top that it was a duplicate. I also wrote a note that I attached to the front telling them it was a duplicate and that I figured the original probably got lost. Anyway, I stopped at my mail box yesterday when I went to the pharmacy and lo and behold there was a paper check for $547.00. I don't think the duplicate probably had had time to have any affect on this transaction, so I guess it just kind of crossed in the mail. Hope they figure that out.Virginia

Virginia, my mom is completely with the protocol for someone 95. No one comes in. Deliveries are made to her front porch.Originally posted by Virginia View Post
Ann, I know your Mother says she doesn't want any company right now. However how is your MIL holding out without going out? I know she looked forward to her weekend shopping trips with you and Peter.
Peter’s mother is another story. She doesn’t like the rules and has to be reminded about the mask and especially covering her nose. Her downstairs tenants are a bit lax, also. Today Peter supervised her in a nearly empty Walgreens. She touched nothing and didn’t buy anything. I do think it helped her to just go in. Peter did an elaborate hand sanitizer ceremony when they got back in the car. ;-). Next, she wanted to go to Bed and Bath which Peter nixed. Who knew that Walgreens was the gateway drug?
Thanks for asking. Glad you finally got your taxes.

I have seen several people wearing a mask, and only covering their mouth, but not their nose. One was a cashier at the grocery store where I shop. I wanted to tell her that's not how it's worn, but resisted the urge to tell her."Given the millions of billions of Earth-like planets, life elsewhere in the Universe without a doubt, does exist."

I don't ever want to ask people why they're not wearing masks. Some people have medical reasons for not wearing them. Others may be making a statement of some kind ("Nobody is going to tell ME what to do!"), and if so, it might just make them more defiant and determined if someone comes along and asks why they're not wearing masks.
But I hope somebody they genuinely respect--like their own doctor?--cautions them about the need for masks.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) 12/20 - 3/19/24.

Today I did not swim. I made meatless lasagna for tomorrow since I have telemedicine tomorrow which will mess up my cooking time.I am beat. It feels like my legs are in one of those traps with teeth that they set out for raccoons. Pain is so tiring.
Tomorrow is telemedicine with the neurologist. I cannot live like this with such pain...

Oh, I am so sorry. Interesting what you say about pain being so tiring. I hope things improve for you.Originally posted by Sunshine 2 View PostToday I did not swim. Sunshine, I hope you get some help tomorrow. I once asked an MS Specialist if he could do one thing to make my life with Trigeminal Neuralgia better and he did. He added a low dose of Nortriptyline in the evening. Big help w break through pain. I hope your doc can do something for you.

With Stiff Person Syndrome, Tricyclics of which Pamelor is one, SNR’s and Duloxetine are all Not good for people with SPS, it worsens the stiffening, spasticity, spasms. So there is a narrow window of treatment for pain, depression and anxiety.
I am on Buspar for anxiety, and suspect that is the reason for the decline with SPS. It coincides with starting it. Will discuss with doc.
