    (OT) Prize-winning Audubon Society bird photos

    Thinking of one of our bird watchers, nuthatch (Joan), today--thought people here might enjoy these prize-winning bird photos from the Audubon Society. Some are quite remarkable--the roadrunner with a lizard in its beak, for instance.

      I thought it was a frog too but apparently it's a fence lizard. Lizards can look amazingly like tiny dinosaurs:

        Thank you so much for sharing these amazing photos. They're all terrific, and my favorite is the hummingbird.

        I think about nuthatch and miss her everyday. I hope her husband, children and grandchildren are healthy and coping as well as possible.
