Ann, they went to a restaurant close to my house to celebrate my Birthday. It is one we often go to in normal times. They make all their food homemade. It was a very hot day here and even though I am in air conditioning I didn't care about having a hot meal. So, I requested a homemade croissant with homemade chicken salad. They put grapes, pecans, and onions in their chicken salad. It is served with lettuce and tomato. It was the biggest croissant you ever saw. I got sweet potato fries to go with it.
They also make all their ice creams. I asked for one scoop of ice cream and they brought me a pint of homemade strawberry. Everything was good.
One of my SILs brought me a home grown tomato and two fresh ears of corn. So Friday and Saturday nights I had a tomato sandwich and an ear of corn. She also brought some of her miniature zucchini muffins and some blueberries.
