I was selling pumpkins and peppers wt the farmers’ market yesterday when......

I was selling at the farmers’ market yesterday when news broke that Biden had won Pennsylvania and thus the election. Within minutes and continuing for the afternoon....car horns were honking, shouts of joy were in the air, church bells were ringing and joyful people were dancing in the streets. My market was perfectly placed to host this spontaneous celebration. I cannot tell you how wonderful it all was.

That is so very very cool!!!! Dancing too! It is like VE Day after WWII. Absent the ticker tape!

My relative in ATlanta said people were honking horns all over the place!

What a fabulous experience for you! I watched the news coverage of the celebrations, and it felt good to release all of the tension and anxiety of the last 4 years. We have hope again. I'm happy for you that you were in the midst of that revelry!

How lucky that you were right in the midst of so much happiness, Linda!

I got to see a televised bit of the celebration on Chicago's Michigan Avenue, a street I knew very well when I lived in Chicago. Honking horns and happy people, exuding energy and enthusiasm.

Then a few days later the MAGA et al march and violence in the evening.
            Anxiety back in place.
