    (OT) Figure these out?

I hope someone can figure these out. So far I've got only a few of them.

Evidently, I'm daft, because I don't even know what I'm supposed to figure out. Is there any kind of instruction for this game? I've looked at it repeatedly, but I have no idea what I'm looking for. Color me embarrassed.

I'll be interested to find out what it is ...

    Love & Light,

Well, I haven't figured the 1a square out yet but the 1b square is "hitting below the belt." Square 6c is "three ring circus." Now I've given away two of them. I haven't figured many of them out yet.

Rose, I am with you on this. Agate and Ikoiko seem to know something we don't!

              6c - 3-ring circus

Rose and Virginia, they're gimmicky versions of common phrases. I still can't figure many of them out. There are 48 in all, and I haven't a clue about 32 of them.

3d - adding insult to injury (they've taken the word insult, added a + sign, and then written the word injury)

After your clue, I figured it out, and I found #1C: Head over heels in love. I have figured out a few others. I'm impressed that you've deciphered 16 of them!

Look at the clues we've given on the chart to see if that helps you.

Today I got 2 more. This may be the kind of thing where you need to return to it a day later and find something you didn't notice before.

I think you're right. Today, I found 4 more, which brings my total to a whopping 12! If this were a game show, you'd definitely be the champion!

Good brain teaser ~ thanks for sharing it.

I just figured out a few with a little bit of time looking, but I haven't spent much time on this one.

When I first looked at this I saw things that looked like the stuff you have to duplicate typing when you have to identify yourself on certain sites.

Virginia, those times when you have to prove you're not a robot? I dislike those! I usually can't figure them out and have to go through several of them before I get them right.

I do to Agate and I wondered if others did. I don't understand why they can't come up with something better.

I've noticed that sometimes there's no bunch of letters. There's just a box to check saying "I am not a robot," and that's the end of it. I can get along with that OK. Just don't ask me to decipher anything illegible.
