It’s from a patient with SPS, but easily applies to MS. #4 Howie references:
“4. The biggest adjustment I’ve had to make is: saying goodbye to my former life, the person I was before. Learning my identity is who I am, not what I do. Micromanaging every day with what needs to be done, energy level, severity of symptoms, medication, timing, and lots of pre-planning.“

I could have written #4. Sunshine, before you came along, I had never even heard of SPS. You're a most welcome member of this board.

Thanks Howie, even though I am deeply allergic to Cats? Oh I wish I could have a cat, a perfect companion. Fun, many cuddly, but self sufficient when you just can’t get up to let them go outside.

My MS is invisible too: I was surfing for goodness sakes. I was walking everywhere like ANN. But I always felt fatigue and legs felt like concrete blocks. It did affect the surfing I would have to clumsily move my concrete block legs up and down the board to keep stepped up or slow it down, or turn it etc.
