    O/T Weighted Blankets

I am always cold at night and have trouble getting enough cover on me. I am also, at times, anxious. Does anyone know anything about weighted blankets? I am keeping the temperature a little higher, but I had rather have better cover. I looked at a few on the internet and found that at lot of them are throws. I want a blanket I can leave on my bed. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, I bought one for my youngin a few years ago. She finds it eliminates tossing and turning for more rapid onset of sleep. She (17) really is a big fan.

I searched and searched and eventually found a full size blanket at a decent price. If memory serves (as it so often does not) I found it by searching on google, then selecting the shopping tab (right there on google) and sorting by price, lowest to highest and carefully looked for the desired dimensions.

I haven't tried one of these but I've heard favorable reports about them. I can't imagine liking added weight in a blanket but apparently there's some science behind it that must make it work for people because they are saying that a weighted blanket helps them to sleep better.

It's probably not for me. One ordinary blanket sometimes seems too heavy.

I like the idea, but saw one that listed glass as the added material for weight. I wonder if that's the only thing used, or are there other added materials that can be used as the source of the added weight.

Sunshine, I don't like the idea of a blanket being plugged in to electricity while I am sleeping. I use to have one many years ago and liked it alright then, but now I actually need the added weight. Right now I have a quilted blanket, a regular blanket, a comforter and then on top of that I put two throws in order to try and stay warm and also get the weight I need. If people could see my bed and how much cover I use they would not believe it.

I tried a weighted blanket, but it was so heavy that I could not turn over very easily.

I've seen them listed as high as 20 pounds, and there may be even heavier ones available.
