That's a mouthful LOL! Well, it's a procedure I think I vaguely remembered reading about on the old forums, or maybe it's new. But from what little info I found, it seems promising for me. I saw my pain doc and asked her about it. She said that Medicare requires the first procedure before doing the second. It entails injecting medication in the joints of the spine, and if that helps the pain, the same area is treated to a burning of the nerves. Unfortunately, it isn't permanent. And, it doesn't help sciatica, just low back pain. But that's my worst and most constant pain. So I scheduled it for December 17, in time for this year's used up deductible. I found a few good websites with info.
Has anyone had this done? Any comments or info? I have so few options left... I don't want the SCS... I don't want more pain meds... Could this be the answer? I'm praying it helps me. I didn't get the EMG yet, nor the results of my triple MRI. I see the neuro 12/12 for results...
Thanks for reading, I appreciate any and all replies! MarMar
