Hi all.....I pop on here off and on to read posts and realized I havent actually said hi to anyone in a LONG time. Not sure if anyone remembers me, I had multi level acdf about year and half ago. Everything has been going fine. I am back to work, I work on the code team and ICU and am back doing things I havent done for about 5 years. Am pain free and got more movement than I ever realized I had lost. So, YES, there are good stories after spine surgery. It took about a year before I felt normal again. I still have some difficulty swallowing, but think I will be living with that for the rest of my life. It was great reading about several of you that I chatted to during the rough times. Hope all are doing well........esp Mark and Big Joe.

Hi carol it is good to hear from you again as it has been a while. It is so good to hear you have turned out to be one of the success stories from the spinie group. I dreamed that my surgeries would have me back to work like your surgeries did but my spine wanted to keep deteriorating so it didn't happen for me. It is wonderful you are back on the code team and doing what you love. I know the patients that come through benefit from having you back on the team. I hope you stop by to chat once in a while as it is good to hear from you and others.1979 spinal issues, 1993 lumbar microdisectomy L3-4, 1996 360 3 level lumbar fusion L2-5, 1999 open thoractomy fusion T8-9,
