Bad winter - lots of issues -- any new "stuff"

So, this poor troll had to manually shovel a 500-yard long driveway. As well as do a lot of other stuff trolls do not like to do.

I actually thought I had posted something earlier, but I do not see it...so MARK...tell me if I am a bad troll or not.

This was all part of the troll Winter Olympics, which was January through March.

As part of said Olympics, one poor troll ended up passed out on the driveway. A friend came by and drove me back home and we determined it was lack of eating and drinking that caused said problem.

But, and I know this is a long shot. I have horrible neuropathy -- other than LYRICA, which I will not use, any ideas.

I do go back to my MD in San Fran in a couple of months, but until then....

My initial thought is that you should call your friend to assist with the snow shoveling, instead of coming to scrape you up off of the driveway.

Other advice: Eat something! A protein bar, at least. And keep yourself hydrated, especially while you’re shoveling snow.

Also, pace yourself. Take breaks. Don’t overdo. The snow will still be there waiting for you (and your friend).

I Googled for you and found the following:

Nerve Support, which is a Vitamin B complex + D3.

Here are some positive and negative reviews about this product. If you have time to read the longest comment, which describes the negatives, you will find suggestions for natural approaches to relieving neuropathy. Diet (eliminate dairy, processed foods, red meat, and increase consumption of fresh fruits and veggies) exercise, etc.

HT, I have a problem calling you a bad troll as I do much of what you do except drinking. Our lives are so changed by our spines and pain but life doesn't stop for us just like it doesn't for others. It might be nice to have someone to do all the things we aren't to do but that isn't the way it is for us. I went through Winter without doing too much bad so I was safe now right? Not at all as with the better days I decided to rake up the leaves in our plant beds to get ready to planting and letting the perennials sprout up. Oh did I mention the one thing that really causes me spinal pains for a couple of weeks - raking or sweeping. For some reason that move really inflames my lumbar nerves and I know better than to do raking or sweeping. I am just glad your friend came around and found you at the end of the drive before you sat there too long. Now you have a very good lesson that should keep you from making the same mistake for a while. So troll get out there and live as well as you can and come around more often here.

hi - I am new to this part of the boardn - but when I saw somebody I knew - well figured I would chip in. No, you are NOT a bad troll - I have seen too many of your posts to believe that. Shoveling a driveway that long? I believe if I could, I would just get a 4WD Jeep - the older ones can be reasonable - just be sure to ( if you don't already know) how to handle the shifting - have it checked by a mechanic that knows 4wd - the repairs to the transfer case or tranny can go way more then just a tranny. that and it is VERY easy to stick a jeep - reverse always is a good bet. Just a thought, that said, Mark had some good advice. Pace Yourself, Esp. with the drinking - I can get carried away too with the beers, so stay hydrated with WATER. Good luck to you, next time maybe ask your neighbor for help or if you can afford it, get a neighborhood kid to do it ( do kids even do that anymore - I did but these are way different times.) good luck to you and many blessings
