It's been a long time since I posted, on the old forums Happy New Year. I hope that there are some of the old members still around.......EA, Mark N, and some of the others........
Life has been busy, of course as it always is for all of us. As for my spine, well, I was doing as well as I could be considering everything that has gone on since 2005, but in the fall, I managed to tweak my back pretty well trying to go in a door.......that set off a flare up that just seemed to go on and on. I saw my physiatrist and she decided to send me for a new MRI......the results weren't good, of course and then was told that I needed to get a CT scan as well since they saw some new problems. I talked to my physiatrist after the MRI and the CT , and she is pushing for me to consult with a couple of surgeons. Seems the bmp caused some major issues, as in the overgrowth is all over the place, including the canal , which is significantly narrowed, and I have two spondylolysthesis, this time at L3-4, ( grade 2 or 3, depending on the view), and at L5-S1, which is only a grade 1 thankfully......
I will see if I can include some of the images ....that being said, I have two appointments with complex surgery revisions and consults for ideas about what to do.......but the images and reports aren't looking good. In the MRI report, they mention that the facet joints are "perched" on L4.....amongst other issues.
It seems that I can not get much of a break.......the good news is that the nerve pain isn't bad, but my physiatrist seems to think that it is because of the extensive damage to the spinal nerves...
Anyway, just thought that I would update since it's been a long time and ask for some well wishes on the 14th and 16th......think that I am going to need them.

I gotta admit, seeing these new images has made me a bit nervous....and my pm nervous as well. Her expression changed significantly when she saw the images. I am going to be seeing her on Wednesday, a week before I see these surgeons, so it will be an interesting conversation once I do see them and what they have to say.
